Question about college applications?
What is the difference between early decision and early action. I know that both of them require students to submit their applications around November, but what it the main difference between them? Does it have to do with the binding/non-binding issue? Thanks

Yes, early decision is binding and forces you to go to that institution if you get accepted. In addition you can only ED 1 school. Early action is non-binding, and just gives you a response early. There are two types of early action, single choice and non single choice. Single choice early action only allows you to apply to one school early action. If its non single choice, then you can apply to many schools early action.
