An associates is 2 years and bachelors 4 years.
I got an ASN (N is for nursing and I took RN boards) and used it to go on to a bachelors, a couple of masters, and a doctorate.
A bachelors is probably better FOR most professions. But some careers only need 2 years. (Nursing has both programs.)

An associates degree is a two-year degree and a bachelors is a 4-year degree meaning that on average it should take that long to finish each of them. Typically a bachelors is what most companies look at for employment and it will help you should you decide to go on to high levels of college say doctorate or PHD. However, some places only care to see that you have an associates degree. There are some really good jobs out there like x-ray technicians that only go through two years of school and make very good money so I have been told. The answer to your question of which is better all depends on what you plan doing and who you want to work for really…

Associates: 2 years
Bachelors: 4
depends on what you want to be….but, more education is ALWAYS better..so I say stick with a BA (abbreviation for Bachelors)

associates’ degree means you only completed 2 yrs of college and it’s more like a h.s. diploma…you don’t make too much money so bachelor’s is better and you make decent money because you have completed 4 years of college.
