How many semester hours does it take to be a College Sophomore?
Does anyone know the hour total you need to be classified as a Sophomore? What about a Junior? Senior?
I’m trying to figure out where I am on my transcript. Thanks!

Typically 30 hours makes up a semester. So, 30-59 is a sophomore, 60-89 is a junior, and 90 to whatever is a senior.

You must complete 30 hours to become a Sophomore, 60 for a Junior, and 90 to become a Senior.
120 to graduate.

Probably not if you are only taking AP classes while in high school. I don’t think you could accumulate enough credit hours for a second year status. In my state (Ohio) high school students can participate in a Post Secondary Education Option Program at local community colleges. What the program allows students to do is take college level classes at the community college while still in high school and the state foots the bill; in other words FREE COLLEGE. I did this full time my senior year and it was the best decision I ever made. I was even offered a full scholarship from the community college if I came back the following year.
