Ok I’m not sure if any of these people really know what they’re talking about. UF’s business school is ranked Top 20 in the country. Definitely better than FSU. Not only that, but UF’s admissions standards are much higher than FSU. There’s a saying in florida for high school kids, “Can’t get in to UF? Go to FSU”. UF’s average admit has around a 1400 SAT score, and nearly everyone that goes there gets the Bright Futures scholarship. And for the person who said go to FSU for the great sports teams, he obviously missed the Gators winning 3 national championships in 366 days, not to mention the baseball team making it to the finals a few years ago and the gymnastics team being ranked #1 this year too.

As for whether undergrad students take 5-6 years to graduate, obviously some people do. That’s the way it is at every school. I finished in 4, as did most of my friends. You’ll only need to take longer if you A)change majors or B)want to stay in school longer.

Oh and just so you know, the liberal arts school is very under funded at UF. I don’t really know how you plan on doing both, considering they’re completely different. But, UF puts so much into business school, law, and athletics, that they have had problems with liberal arts this year.

I go to FSU, but I know UF generally has higher admission standards and is pickier about who they accept. That said, I don’t really know much about liberal arts and business at either school. Half my high school went to UF, the other half to FSU and I hear good things about both schools.

Overall, I like FSU and Tallahassee. I have also been to UF’s campus many times and it is very pretty too. Tallahassee is slightly bigger than Gainesville. You should visit both places and get a feel for each.

Here are some stats for UF and FSU:

Good luck!

I believe FSU is better than UF. They have great academics and a great athletic program. You can enjoy watching the sports teams while studying and working.

I think FSU has a great business school however liberal arts I would lean towards UF.

I know that UF is known for being one of the best schools in Florida but if you’re considering business you may want to consider FIU. A lot of people may put down FIU but it has a lot of really great programs and FIU’s undergraduate international business programs ranks 7th best in the nation (they have a really great business school you may want to look into).
