Can somebody please provide me with some info on Georgetown University?

i really want to go there. i’m entering my junior year in school. my gpa is 4.5 because i take honors and APs (weights), and my class rank is in the low 20s but i’m sure this year will bring it to 18 or something. i think grades-wise i’m set. my SATs aren’t that good because i can’t study for them like i can for school.

Soooo, i was wondering if anyone had any kind of information on who they accept and based on what. like is it mostly grade-related? does gpa and rank matter? how much do SATs tie into everything.

any website links would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Georgetown claims to look at the whole student to make decisions on admission, including SAT, GPA and extra-curriculars. At current, Georgetown accepted for next year 22% of all applicants.

Currently these are the average scores at Georgetown for admissions.

SAT Critical Reading: 640 – 750

SAT Math: 650 – 740

ACT Composite: 27 – 32

If you go to the Princeton Review page below, create an account and log in, it will give you a chart for the university with how it weights its admission process.

If you aren’t sure you can make those levels or are looking for a good fall back school in the Washington DC area, I’d recommend American University and George Washington. All three of the universities are starting to be considered equals in the business market and by academics.
