Do AP courses affect my chances of winning a scholarship?
By the time I have completed my senior year of high school, i would have of taken 2 AP courses out of a possible 5 offered at my school. When it comes time to apply for local scholarships, do the courses I take matter to them?

Well probably yes, it depends what type of scholarship(s)… and sometimes what coruses.. obviously if you have taken many hard and challenging classes ;you probably have a good drive to succeed and are a better investment then the kid who decided to take underwater basket weaving for 3 years of highschool… see my point? So i would say yes. It does matter somewhat.

It relies upon on the scholarship. For some scholarships you should offer them your transcript for the applying, so they might see what varieties of classes you’re taking. in case you’re using for a scholarship like this, then i think of AP classes would boost your opportunities.

yes, because the schools will think that you are really interested in your studies and if you take the ap classes, college won’t be as hard because you would already have a taste of what you are going to learn.

I would say it would look good, but will they ask for that information? Make sure you send in a transcript when applying. It will look good, but scholarships are more based on GPA and essays (if there is an essay involved), and who your competition is.
