Besides NYU, what are some good universities that are actually in New York City?
I want to major in biology/biochemistry

columbia has a great science department
the other ones arent as great

By in NYC, do you mean Manhattan? Columbia is the best, followed by NYU. Fordham’s main campus is in the Bronx, but they have a Manhattan campus as well. But there are others (e.g., Pace, CUNY, etc). If you include the outer boroughs, then there are a lot more schools.

Columbia is the best. Of the average schools St. Johns is probably the best.
