GRAD SCHOOL (EDUCATION MAJOR) Do I have a chance?
Favorite Answer
Call the education department at both schools and ask to speak with an adviser. They should be able to tell you right away what your chances are.
If you are trying to become a teacher, look into the requirements for a teaching credential right away. I wasn’t aware that I could bypass the CSET for the subject I want to teach simply by taking a few specific courses at the undergrad level. If you want to teach elementary school, there are very specific courses you’ll need as well.
Good luck! 🙂
first, you might want to call or write the grad schools at usc or ucsb and ask them “what was the average GRE scores for people admitted last year?” usually, they can provide such info to people. using that info, you will have a much better idea of your chances.
second, another factor to think about would be the letter of recommendation. GRE is important, but not the only factor. if you have outstanding letters from good writers, it will boost your application.
good luck!
