The SAT scores are a necessary component of your application as they indicate whether you have the intelligence to perform well at Stanford. If you can score mostly fives on your AP tests, then the SAT scores will most likely be of less importance. Another way to make the SAT scores less relevant is if you play sports on the college level.
GPA’s are of less importance today since so many schools have grade inflation. Make sure you are near the top of your class. Roughly half of all students at MIT are val/sals.
You may want to cut one or two activities. Stanford and others like Stanford like high accomplishment in one to three things. They don’t like to see people who join a lot of activities. Think Tiger Woods!
There is still time to improve your SAT score. You can sign out SAT prep computer disks from your local library.
