What do people mean when they say “as I was”?
Sometimes I hear people say “as I was” when they find themselves wrong about something.. But I also hear people say “as you were” when they’re wrong about something too. What’re these sayings really supposed to mean?

As I was means like back to what I was originally doing. Sometimes after getting sidetracked or distracted. As you were means like get back to whagt it was you were doing.
It’s the same thing.

As I was in today’s lingo simply means “what ever” and continue with your regualr day to day activities.
As you were means relax, at ease in military terms, in civilian life it is just go and do what ever you were doing before you were called away from it.
That is what they are supposed to mean, but people may intend for them to be different too.
