What is one phrase or word people use that you hate?

For me it’s the word “irregardless.” I can’t believe people use it to mean regardless.

Any phrase that sounds pretentious to the hearer. It is a put down and totally arrogant.

When people overuse the word ” basically.” It really irritates me. Or “ya know” But if I have hurt anyones feelings I’m sorry.

Improper use of “Race”. Too many people use it to mean religion, colour or nationality; it has nothing to do with these things.

Literally, used when any of the following would be better:

metaphorically, hyperthetically, proverbially.

The floodgates have literally been opened..

It’s literally been a rollercoaster…

I bet flammable and inflammable get you worked-up, too…

I don’t much like anything prefaced by ‘ It goes without saying…’

And I must include the ever-popular, ‘Conversate’.
