are there any words that end with amos?
(in the English language). I am trying to come up with a way for my students to remember the -ar verb conjugations (o, as, a, amos, an) and can’t think of a word that ends with amos, and most kids i’ve had don’t know Amos is a name.

I can’t think of any, but maybe some of them know femme rocker Tori Amos, or Full House star John Stamos.
As a student of several languages though, I’ve never found the need for those kind of tools. Constructing games (such as quiz games, picture recognition etc) really helped me keep my intrest through those first couple months of learning a language, where intrest can wain and memorization can get frustrating…
In particular, the nosotros form seems to be the easiest to conjugate for me and my peers, since it usually doesn’t stem-change…
good luck!

These may be kind of a stretch, but the plural of camo (as in camouflage gear) is camos. Also, Samos is a Greek island. There is also a tree called the Japanese ash. It’s wood is called tamo, which is pluralized tamos.

I would make it a name of something. Go out and buy a stuffed animal, make it your class mascot and name it “Amos”
