its like telephone, you place two cans connected with a string and you hear what each other are saying. Im not sure if it works or if im explaining it right.If you know can you tell me

It is called telephone. You can use two sturdy paper cups or two cans. Put a small hole in the bottom of each cup or can. Thread the string through the hole and tie a large knot on the inside, so that the string doesn’t slip back out. Then hold the two cups apart so that the string is taut. If one person talks into his cup and the other person puts the cup to his ear, then it works like a telephone. As long as the string is tight, you can make the distance fairly long.

Nowadays, it is easier to find “cans” with cardboard bottoms, such as those that oatmeal or peanuts are sold in. Poke small holes through the center of the bottoms, run a string through each, knot it, and pull it tight. The string must be straight and taut.
