LadyLinda and Doc Adams were going through a tough stretch. Doc had been working more hours than he could remember.
Just last week he had delivered twins to the couple that lived on The DoubleBar Ranch, just two miles North of town. It took two whole days. Doc had a two day old beard when he returned at 2pm on the 2nd Sunday in the month.
It was just TOO much for LadyLinda to take.
LadyL:”Doc……When or when will I EVER come first?”
Doc:”(2) I’m Sorry That I Disappointed You my dear.
But twins take time. Why, baby # 2 took 2 hours and 22 minutes to arrive. I couldn’t very well leave just because you were waiting for me to take you to the dance.” He turned to face her.
“Whatever happened? Did you go , anyway?”
LadyLinda smiled her coquettish smile…….” Yes I did. That charming half-breed, Tommy Two Feathers took me.”
Doc:”Tommy TWO FEATHERS??!!! Why that idiot! He had the Two Day Measels . I told him to stay in bed for at least two days. Now YOU’LL probably catch it!”
LadyL jumped up and looked in the mirror…..”Do my eyes deceive me? Do I see two spots on my face?”
Doc came over to look……”Naw…..Just a bit of acne.”
Doc applied some medication. LadyL, with her low tolerance of discomfort, screamed.

LadyL was horrified that Doc screamed at her. She burst into tears.

Doc immediately straightened up.

LadyLinda:” Well, at around 2:22 am…..I know. I know. We stayed at the dance WAY too long……Well anyway…….He walked me to my door.”
Doc interrupted…..”AND?!”

Doc:”What in blazes did you do? Did you TWO TIME ME??

LadyLinda:”Of course not. But I did do something rather awful. I……….. I…………. I gave him our two tickets to the

Doc burst into tears.
LadyL felt so terrible, she started crying ,too………
