Can someone reword this so it sounds better?

“Some artists can only draw when they’re sad. But whenever they want to draw they make themselves sad. Then it becomes depressing”

Or something.

It is only possible for some artists to draw when they are in a state of acute sadness. However, when the need to draw arises, the artist’s melancholy mood increases, thus forming a vicious circle of depression.

It is a depressing thought that though some artists can only draw when they are sad, it is the very act of drawing that makes them sad.

There are artists who can draw their best works only when they are sad. In order to produce at their best, these artists will make themselves sad, or get into a sad mood. When this happens, their artwork can come across as really depressing.

Some artists are only able to draw when they feel sad. These artists need to make themselves sad whenever they want or need to draw. This process becomes depressing very quickly.

Some artists can only draw( maybe create art instead of draw?) when they are sad. The artists, therefore, sometimes recall sad events in their lives to get themselves in the right frame of mind to draw. Sometimes when they do this, they become depressed and this is often evident in their work.

Some artists believe that their creativity is spurred by sadness. They attach themselves to sadness in order to draw. But sadness is strong. Sadness can cause depression and crush souls.

Some artists can only find their inner muse by subjecting themselves to bouts of depression and dejection.
