Your sentence with “averred” does not need the comma after school, unless you are referring to the name of your principal, say Mr. Adam Alpha or something like that. So, you should write:

“The principal of my school, Mr. X, averred to everyone that we should not bring CDs and mobiles to school.”

OR

“The principal of my school averred to everyone that we should not bring CDs and mobiles to school.”

There are already two fine examples of the word sheen – I don’t think I’ll have to give you one!
