If your question was (16/25-1)/2 than you would divide 16 by 25 to get a decimal. Than you would subtract it by one. After that you would divide it by 2.

If your question is this. (16-25) to the power of -1 divided by 2. You would again divide 16and 25 to make a decimal. Than this is where it gets a bit complicated. You would flip the decimal. So lets say “if” your decimal/number was 5. 5 to the power of -1 you would flip it making a fraction. 1/5. Because 1to the power of anything is its self. So if it were 5 to the power of -2 it would be 1/25 because 5*5 =25 and then you would flip it. After that you would divide it by 2

hope that helps~

(16/25) ^ (1/2) Think of the exponent (1/2) as a radical, this becomes the square root.

If it was 5^ (1/3) , this becomes the cubed root of 5. Think of a root symbol with a little three on the outside.

Now, because we are dividing two numbers (16 and 25) we can basically do the square root of 16 and divide it by the square root of 25.

Leave your answer in fraction form, since it was given to you as a fraction.

the square root of 16 is _____

the square root of 25 is ____

Put the first answer in the numerator, put the second answer in the denominator.

I’ll let you have the fun of figuring out your square roots.

Do you mean

[(16/25)^-1]/2 ? I’m not sure what your math problem is, if you make it a bit more clear maybe I can help.
